Cheryl’s School of Dance is a second generation family owned and operated dance studio providing 44 years of the highest quality dance education. After spending 43 years in North Providence, CSD has found their home at 48 West Wrentham Road Cumberland, RI! 

 

CSD was opened in 1980 by Cheryl Garganese-Trottier. Her two daughters,  Natasha Trottier- Estrada and Gianna Trottier-McLeish, are proud to continue their mother’s legacy and share their love of dance with their dancers and the community. CSD is a home to many and we are proud to have a staff of alumni as well as educators- some that have been with us for more than 25 years. 

 

CSD is a More Than Just Great Dancing affiliated studio as well as Youth Protection Association for Dance. What does this mean? This means that we want to do more than teach high quality dance instruction. We want to develop healthy, happy dancers in an environment that focuses on safety along with the social- emotional and physical well-being of their students. CSD is dedicated to creating and contributing to a sustainable and safe future for dance overall. 

 

With over four decades of dedication to the art of dance, we have earned a reputation for providing unparalleled dance instruction in a supporting and nurturing environment. CSD dancers have gone on to become professional dancers in prestigious companies throughout the country, receive full college scholarships, awarded regional, national and world titles and champions at high caliber competitions, Ranked Top 5 in the World Dance Championship, and most importantly successful adults!

 

We welcome dancers 2.5 years old to adults to experience a variety of classes, faculty, recreational and competitive programs that meet the needs of every student.

 

CSD provides lasting values that reach far beyond the classroom. We believe that dance lessons are life lessons. We believe that dance meets imperative needs for social-emotional skills, mental well being and physical health, and provides quality friendships and role models. At CSD, dance becomes a family and the studio becomes a second home for kids during their developmental years.
